1. William(1) Cameron, born about 1792 in Auchbreck Farm. After moving to Garline he live all his life there and died 09 Apr 1864 at the age of 72. Brother Cameron was the informant at his Death. As the eldest son he may have inherited and taken over operation of the farm from his father as the other three sons all left the farm at one time or another. John Cameron, the last son had 5 children born at Garline Farm before leaving.
2. Peter Cameron, born about 1795 at Auchbreck Farm. He later moved to Charleston, Nigg. There he urged his brother James(2) to move from Birse to the coast as better farming land and tenant arrangements were available. They were keen to have more land and their farms were next to each other. He married Mary Reith on 25 Jul 1837. She was born about 1806 in Scotland. In the census of 1851 at the age of 56 he is shown as a crofter with only 18 acres, a very small plot. He died in Charleston, 16 May 1857 and is interred in the churchyard at Nigg. The informant at Death was his brother James(2) Cameron. The cause of his death was Typhus epidemic. Mary had died a month earlier, also of typhus on 17 April 1857. Peter and Mary lived first at 1841 Charlestown Road, the same residence as his brother James(2) Cameron but by the 1851 census they had moved to Blackhill, Nigg. They had a son George Muir Cameron, born 05 Jul 1 1840 who was 16 when his parents died. A second son Peter Cameron was born 13 Nov 1842. By the 1861 Census George and Peter had moved to Farm House on Cove Road where George was now farming the 18 acres of his father's croft. Peter 18 is now a drapery clerk. Working for them as a domestic servant is Janet 26 (called Jessie), who was the first daughter of James(2) Cameron.
3. James(2) Cameron, born about 1798 at Auchbreck Farm and later was at Garline Farm. He died 11 Oct 1873. Cause of his death was Apoplexy. He left the farm about 1832 and migrated south 35 miles to Aboyne, Aberdeenshire where he is in 1837 and 1839 as a mason in the Haugh or village of Birsemoor. The area is hilly and James probably learned the trade of mason. Here he met a bonnie lassie Catherine Ramsey in the nearby village of Birse. She was born 30 May 1811. They married in Birse on 27 Dec 1833 when he was 34 and she was 22 years old. They had nine children together. They had 2 children born in Birse, Janet Cameron born 06 Jan 1835 and James(3) Cameron born 19 Jan 1837. In 1938 they moved 23 miles to Charlestown Road on the outskirts of Aberdeen. There he joined his brother Peter and rented a farm. In 1835 he is listed as a Mason and would have been employed at the nearby quarry when not working on the farm. By 1851 he is shown as a Mason and crofter. As a crofter he rented a small farm adjacent to the farm that would become Woodside Farm rented by his son James(3) CAMERON. He never lived at the farm and is shown in residence at Charlestown Road when he died in 1873. His widow Catherine Ramsay continued to live there and in the census of 1881 is a widower living by her self with son Thomas living next door. She died of Anemia (senile) years. James(2) and Catherine Ramsay had seven more children born on Charlestown Road.
4. John Cameron, born 17 April 1808 at Auchbreck Farm. He died 11 Oct 1873. Death records show that John Cameron of Garline Farm where the family move, was a farm servant who had a second marriage to Henriatta Anderson Cameron and their first son, John Cameron a (County Roadman-retired) was married to Isabella McWilliams who died on Feb 1943 about the age of 75.
5. Isobel Cameron, born 17 April 1808 at Auchbreck Farm. No further information on her life has been found.
6. Alexander Cameron, born 23 Mar 1803? at Auchbreck Farm. No further information on his life has been found.
7. Donald Cameron, born 12 Sept 1810 at Garline Farm. No further information on his life has been found.
8. Mary Cameron, born 3 March 1813 at Garline Farm. Died 11 Oct 1885 at the age of 67. She was single living in Thistle Cottage, Academy St. Elgin. Her brother John Cameron was an informant.
9. Elspet Cameron, born 7 July 1815 at Garline Farm. Died 11 Oct 1885 at the age of 70. Buried in Inveravon churchyard. She was the widow of William Russell, a Wood Labourer. They had a son, George Russell and a daughter Ann Russell who died in 1856 at the age of 13. She is interred in the Inveravon Parrish Churchyard.
10. John Cameron, the last child of James(1) Cameron, was born about 1818 in Garline Farm, Inveravon and died 22 Jul 1900 in Thistle Cottage, Academy St, Elgin, Scotland. At the age of 37 he married Margaret Grant, 23 Mar 1855 in Parish Church, Aird of Dalvey, Cromdale, Moray, Scotland. She was born about 1837 in Aird of Dalvey. Cromdale is a small town about 7 miles to the southeast of Garline Farm on Highway A95 which passes by Garline Farm. It was a town to which John would have gone shopping and for local excitement. It was the only source of companions where he could find someone to marry outside of the local church. He lived mostly in Inveravon and had nine children. Five children were born in Garline Farm and the others born in Elgin. John Cameron was 66 year old when his last child was born. He died at the age of 82. His occupation is listed as having been a farmer and Grain Merchant. Listed are the nine children of John Cameron and Margaret Grant.

Thistle Cottage, Academy Street, Elgin Scotland.
